There Is A Problem

North Point High School has been open for 11 years and throughout these 11 years there are a certain group of people who keep the school looking divine. You may know them. They’re the building service workers.

In the beginning of the school day, the floors are polished, the trashcans are empty, the windows are wiped, and the dust has vanished. The halls are silent and squeaky clean. Then 7:45 comes and a storm of teenagers charge into the main hallway and the mess starts from there. Nest comes at 11:00 and the mess continues. Students get their lunches and tend to act careless of where they place their trash. “When students leave a mess I think it’s difficult, especially when it’s a lot,” Mrs. Makle, head building service worker, “To the students who leave a mess, just before you leave the area try to just pick up trash that’s all, plus friends can help each other. Students can get distracted showing off and forget that they left a mess.”

Not surprisingly, little critters have turned up in the teacher lounge causing some teachers to freak out. Occasionally the food may invite various critters into the building, like last week when Mrs. Fletcher, 11th and 10th grade English teacher, stepped on a mouse in the teachers lounge. She was shocked and very upset that she might have taken that mouse’s life. “I was sad that I stepped on the poor mouse,” Mrs. Fletcher cried. That being said, students aren’t the only ones in the building who make the messes, but also the staff. “Definitely some teachers make huge messes,” Mrs. Makle said with a huge nod. You would think because the staff are adults that they would clean up after themselves but sometimes they don’t. North Point building services has done a lot to keep this school looking clean, but the students and staff should also put in effort into keeping the environment clean too.
