Varsity Baseball Brings Home Victory Over McDonough

North Point 11 McDonough 4

On April 16th North Points varsity baseball team played an away game at McDonough High School. The boys went into this game after a two game losing streak to both La Plata and Calvert. Anthony Smith (’10) pitched Friday night and had a good game helping his team bring home a victory over McDonough with a score of 11-4.

The win should give the team a new confidence and hope for their game against Lackey on April 2. The dugout is always loud during the game when the boys are cheering on their team and being excited about wanting to win.

After being on a 2 game losing streak, Trey Simmons (’10) said, “A win is what we needed so we can get back on track, and get focused on the goal at hand which is to win a championship.

William Harding (’11) the Eagles 2nd basemen said,We did great. Hitting was on point and defense was amazing.” He was not able to play in Fridays game due to an injury to his ankle.
