Tell us a bit about yourself.
“I am an outgoing and funny person. I am nice and friendly to pretty much everyone. I am a 16 year old junior in North Point High School. I like to hang out and party. I will be driving to school soon.”
How did you first get interested in fashion and why is it important?
“I was tired of dressing in an average way. I wanted to look different for my junior year, so I cut my hair.”
Describe your personal style and its influences/inspiration.
“I definitely like to wear sweaters, a lot of shorts, and I always have a leather brown belt. I usually wear just denim blue jeans. I have pairs of suede shoes, Oxfords, leather shoes and boots. I like the Navajo Native American Prints. I don’t get inspiration for necessarily a person. I have a Tumblr so I get inspired from the pictures I see on there.”
What do you like to do? What is your thing?
“I do like photography, I have a Nikon D3100 and I also have a Fuji Film Instax Instant Camera. I like to get on the computer, I have a MacBook Pro. I like music. My favorite type of music would either be 90’s hip hop or alternative Indie Rock. My favorite band would have to Vampire Weekend and my favorite 90’s band would be Wu-Tang Clan.”
How do you describe the fashion scene in Waldorf compared to other major cities/fashion capitals?
“Laidback.”
If you were to travel to any fashion capital, which would it be?
“London would be pretty cool. I like British accents.”
The first thing you look at in another person’s outfit is:
“Either their shirt or, I like shoes a lot, so I look at shoes.”
What can’t you live without?
“I would say my phone; I take it with me everywhere.”
Something about yourself most people don’t know:
“I would definitely say my age. I always wonder if people think I am older or younger. People that I have talked to say I look 17 or 18. I am actually 16.”
What is your current favorite color?
“Green.”
What would you tell a student seeking fashion advice?
“I would say look in magazines or at favorite brands and get inspiration from there.”
What do you think North Point fashion will be like in 20/20?
“I think it will probably go back to what it used to be: vintage.”
