Now is the time for students to be filling out scholarship applications. Luckily, the Charles County Scholarship Fund, Inc. is now providing over 50 scholarships to eligible high school students within the county. In order to apply, students must review the criteria for the specific scholarship and include “a resume, personal statement that details academic and career goals, two letters of recommendation, a high school transcript and copy of the senior year report card,” according to a press release by CCPS. The three scholarships that are specified for North Point students are the Lizbeth Frazer-Fatig Helping Hand Scholarship, the Nicole Pitonyak Memorial Scholarship, and the Richard J. Abela Scholarship.
