From Vega Baja, Puerto Rico to sold out world tours, winning 75 major awards, and first-ever Latin artist & non-English language act to be named the most-streamed artist on Spotify for three consecutive years, Bad Bunny was just a bagger boy in his local store. How does one become that? Well, no one will ever know that except for Bad Bunny aka Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio. He was just a bagger boy with hopes and dreams of making it big in the music world. At 13, he started singing for his church choir group. From there on, the rest is history. Having a love and exploration for different music genres is what took him to the top.  

Bad Bunny has accomplished so much mostly because he does not follow the rules. Instead, he expresses himself truly with no limits including one of his albums that is called “YHLGMDLG” translated English to “I do whatever I want.’’ His separation from the rest of the top artists is that he is humbled, brings awareness through his songs, expresses his political views, mentions his religious views, shows Latinos being hardworking, and never forgets Puerto Rico with always helping his country no matter what.  

The start of January 5, 2025, Bad Bunny released his album “DtMF,” the start of a forever iconic album for expressing Puerto Rico tradition & culture, showing the start of nothing to something, creating TikTok trends, but specially creating the iconic 57 world tours with him not performing once in the US and primarily only Puerto Rico. Many people were confused but did not care because at the end, people traveled to Puerto Rico from all over the world just to see him. 

 The concerts held in Puerto Rico were great, since at the time, Puerto Rico was suffering from horrible poverty so tourists helping the locals was great.  

Later it was discovered that Bad Bunny did not perform in the US due to him being scared his fans would be subject to deportation. This itself just separates Bad Bunny from many artists. He truly does care about his fans and does not turn a blind eye for the money; he figures out methods on how to give back. This the type of artist he is and why he is on top with people all over the world loving him even if they do not know Spanish; they still listen because it is Bad Bunny, so you know it always be a banger!
