In it to Win it
The crowd was filled with anticipation as they awaited the first boys’ varsity basketball game of the season. Not only was it the first game of the season, but it was against our biggest rival in the county, the Westlake Wolverines.
The crowd filled, with the fans were in full support of their Eagles, cheering them on throughout the whole game. The Eagles played their hardest with the game ending in a loss. But the loss did not bring them down. It just motivated the boys more to play harder for the next game.
With the season just beginning, we can only expect great things from the team. The next game will be a face-off between the Eagles and the Thomas Stone Cougars. With this year’s team, the boys are sure to go far, with the guidance from their coach, Coach Ball.
This years team features: Andre Boykin (’17), Malik Brown (’16), Lamont McManus (’16), Kianta Thompson(’16) and Enrico Bruce (’16) on forward; Charles Bryant (’16) on center; Tyrone Craven (’15), Jalen Gibbs (’17), Quinton Gilliam (’16), and Josh Holmes (’15), Thomas Tobias (’15), Bryce Vicks (’16), and Tyler Williams (’17) as guards.
