Open Swim at NP Pool

The North Point swim team went 10-3 this season for both the boys and girls team. As the Eagles swim season came to an end, five school records of the possible 11 were broken. There was good competition this year and every swimmer stepped up their game. Junior captain Liam Perella said, “I think the season went pretty well, there were a lot of good meets that we won, but also a few that we lost, and those losses made us stronger as a team.” True to his word the team did get stronger as the season went on. They had to face their hardest meets early in the season but came back to do well at SMAC. The girls team took third overall and the boys took fifth at SMAC. This year we sent nine swimmers to states, which was the most the team has seen in a long time. There were also three swimmers that swam individual events at states, which is a huge accomplishment for the North Point swim team. As they say goodbye to the seniors this year, they look at the underclassmen to step up and lead the team.
