Say “Good-bye” To School, and Say “Hello” To Summer
The school year is coming to an end, and before we know it, students will be out of school for good! With all this extra time, what are students going to do? Are they going to do some extra summer work, or catch up on their favorite show? Larry Johnson (’18) claims, “This summer, I plan to do a lot of stuff like hang out with my friends, play video games, and condition for my sports that I’m going to play next year.” Ryan Murrell (’17) adds, “This summer, is my last summer in high school, so I’m going to be doing working at my job, as well as doing some extra summer work, just so I can get a head start for my senior year.”
Many students might be taking AP, or Honors courses next school year, so how are they going to balance the summer work with their summer fun? Lauryn Reid (’18) mentions, “Next school year, I plan on taking AP Language, so I have to manage my time accordingly so that I can get my summer reading done, and still have time to relax.” Whether you’re jumping off of a diving board, or into a summer reading book, the summer is a time to relax, take a load off, and prepare for the next school year. Have a great summer everyone.
