What does the National Arts Honors Society do?
- They are devoted to contributing to their school community by sharing their artistic talent. They are always open to new suggestions for NAHS projects.
Who is allowed to join?
10th, 11th, 12th, grade students who:
- Have taken an art class at North Point High School
- Have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Have submitted an application and have the necessary $6.00 membership fee
Do you do any activities outside of school?
- Only if it’s still school related. In the fall, they helped with John Hanssen’s Christmas drive to help collect toys, decorated the box to put toys in, and help set up, and do relay for life, kept children busy with coloring books, helped with signs, and made a train for McDonough
What opportunities are there to further your presence in the Art community?
- There are a lot of contests and scholarship opportunities given from the national office. There are art projects given by the national office that can be put in gallery shows.
What are the benefits to joining this Society?
- National Honors Society can go on your resume. Within the scholarship opportunities, you can win thousands of dollars towards your college career. Being in the society can get you recognized in the art community.
