For the month of November, one of our senior spotlights is Heaven Linton. Heaven is a current senior attending North Point High School and in the nursing CTE. In the school year 2024-2025, she was the class president of the Class of 2026. She is a hardworking student who has obtained principal honor roll every year in high school. Her friends and peers describe her as someone who can always cheer you up. To highlight Heaven’s amazing qualities and determination for success, I have selected her for senior spotlight.
Q1: What artist got you through high school, and what song would you say describes your year?
A: “Lizzy McAlpine, and her song “Ceilings.’”
Q2: What are your plans after high school and why?
A: “After high school, I plan to attend a 4-year college. I want to major in human biology or something like women’s science. Then after that I plan to go straight in to med school. My dream is to be an OBGYN”
Q3: What advice do you have for underclassmen?
A: “Don’t procrastinate. You only have so much time in high school, so don’t spend it pushing things off and then regretting not getting things done.”
Q4: What is your favorite memory from high school?
A: “I was laying on the turf in May of my freshman year. The sun was beaming, and it just felt good and freeing.”
Q5: What’s the biggest lesson high school has taught you?
A: “You’re not as smart as you think you are. There’s always more for you to learn.”
Q6: How do you feel from freshman year to now?
A: “I feel more mature compared to my freshman year. I feel more career and college ready. In freshman year I couldn’t imagine going to college, but now I feel ready for it.”
Q7: What is your favorite memory from before high school? (K-8th)
A: “I have multiple favorite memories. But some of them were field day at Diggs Elementary School, going to North Point to learn how to swim, and the trip in 5th grade to Nanjemoy Creek”
Q8: What is the hardest thing about high school?
A: “The hardest thing to deal with is the people you encounter. And managing my sleep schedule, my sleep schedule has gotten so bad due to tall the things I do. Also managing all the things in life, from having a job, being in clubs, dancing, and wanting a social life”
