Sasha is a quiet, hardworking student, but her achievements speak loud for her. She’s currently in the CTE culinary program and in sophomore year she also earned “Sophomore Math Student of the Month” and “Best Red Room Photographer.” Since she has a piano at home, she likes to play it from time to time.
Q1: What artist got you through high school?
A1: “The artist that got me through high school is Erykah Badu.”
Q2: What are your plans after high school and why?
A2: “I plan to go to college and get a degree in food health because you are what you eat. Food controls, fixes, hurts, and changes so many things.”
Q3: What advice do you have for underclassmen?
A3: “My advice would be to follow their overall plan, not their mood in the moment.”
Q4: What is your favorite memory from high school?
A4: “My favorite memory from high school is doing graduation rehearsal. It hasn’t happened yet, but that will be my favorite memory.”
Q5: What’s the biggest lesson high school taught you?
A5: “The biggest lesson high school taught me is that nothing is that serious at the end of the day and good decisions lead to a good future.”
Q6: How do you feel from freshman year to now?
A6: “Freshman year I felt lost, insecure, afraid, and worried and now I feel none of those things. I feel free now.”
Q7: What was your favorite memory from before high school(K-8)?
A7: “I honestly can’t remember anything from before high school and the things I remember are nowhere near my favorite. But I remember in 4th grade, my friends had a wedding during recess; it was very nice.”
Q8: What’s the hardest thing about high school?
A8: “The hardest thing about high school is trying to keep loving yourself. There are so many factors in high school that can make one hate themselves and life and want to change. The hardest thing is not letting that consume you.”
