For the month of February, Gianna Nwokeku is one of the seniors we have selected for senior spotlight. She is a hardworking student who is passionate about dance. She enjoys singing and has even taught herself how to play the piano!
Q1: What artist got you through high school, and what song would you say describes your year?
A: “Yebbas Heartbreak and I don’t have a song that would describe my senior year.”
Q2: What are your plans after high school and why?
A: “My plan after high school is to get into Alvin Ailey because I want to continue dancing as my aspiration.”
Q3: What advice do you have for underclassmen?
A: “I would tell them to stay on top of your work and try not to procrastinate.”
Q4: What is your favorite memory from high school?
A: “My sophomore chorus class during flight.”
Q5: What’s the biggest lesson high school has taught you?
A: “High school has taught me not to change yourself to fit in.”
Q6: How do you feel from freshman year to now?
A: “I feel great because I made it this far and have been better than freshman year.”
Q7: What is your favorite memory from before high school? (K-8th)
A: “My 8th grade math class.”
Q8: What is the hardest thing about High School?
A: “The hardest thing is just waking up and going to school.”
